farm stay ANIMALS

There are so many exotic animals and birds that roam the paddocks and farmyard.  Located in the Thames/Coromandel area, our farm stay guests will have ample opportunity to interact with highland cows, bulls, llamas, donkeys, horses, sheep, rams, emus, peacocks, guinea fowl, pheasants and hens.

The birds receive a healthy diet of mixed grain feed daily. Sheep and llamas get fed multi-feed pellets during the winter and summer months. The cattle, donkeys and horse eat hay and multi-nuts during the winter months.

Please contact the host for feeding times.

Shearing of the sheep and llamas occurs in early December, lambing is usually end of May/early June, calving around August/September.
